Located directly between Lake Beauty and Lake Lurna and near Nemours Children’s, Brick & Fire Pizza on Orange Avenue prides itself on being the only restaurant of its brand. This pizza and pasta parlor isn’t part of a chain or a local franchise, which adds to its charm.

All of the pizza made at Brick & Fire is created from handmade dough right in the restaurant. During your visit, be sure to try out the Brick & Fire Classic, as well as the Chipotle Barbecue Chicken.

Pair your pizza choice with an appetizer of goat cheese bruschetta, and you’ll be in for one of the best pizza experiences of your life!

Lazy Moon

In the Park Lake/Highland area of Orlando is Lazy Moon. Located on Colonial Drive, the restaurant is most well known for its large portions. Their website states that the slices are so big that you need two hands to eat them!

Lazy Moon not only uses homemade dough but also ages it. Therefore, the taste is unique to other pizza places. The restaurant also uses eclectic ingredients to make its menu options stand out.

When ordering from Lazy Moon, be sure to try out The Buff as well as Jason’s Mom’s Slice. You can also order the Boxcar Willy, which comes with a pint of PBR!

Piazza Italia

9685 Lake Nona Village Pl Ste 105, Orlando, FL 32827

Visit Website

In the area of Lake Nona, on Lake Nona Village Place, the Piazza Italia provides pizza that will leave you craving it after trying it for the first time. The menu at Piazza Italia delivers an authentic Italian experience that you can’t get anywhere else.

One of the best things about this pizzeria is the chunks of mozzarella cheese placed on top. The placement allows for a gooey, chewy texture that provides a burst of flavor.

One of my personal favorites at Piazza Italia is the Regina Margherita. The simplicity of the ingredients and the high-quality elements makes it a memorable dining experience.

Pizza Bruno

3990 Curry Ford Rd, Orlando, FL 32806
Phone: (407) 270-6833
Visit Website

Down the road from Lake Giles is Pizza Bruno. Located in an area with many retail stores and restaurants, it is easily accessible after a long day of shopping or errand running. The small eatery uses a stone oven to make their highly desirable pizzas.

There is no wrong item on the Pizza Bruno menu. However, some of the top options include the Crimson Ghost, complete with hot honey, and Nonnie Knows Best, with meatballs and dollops of sauce.

While reservations are not required, it is recommended for those with a large group due to the restaurant’s limited capacity.

Pizzeria Del-Dio

3210 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32803
Phone: (407) 898-1115
Visit Website

On the edge of the Orlando Executive Airport, off of Maguire Boulevard, is Pizzeria Del-Dio. Originally in Brooklyn, New York, the restaurant moved to Florida in 1994.

After opening the pizza restaurant in the Fern Park area, they were awarded several honors for their high-quality pizza. After that, they opened a location in Orlando.

When you visit Pizzeria Del-Dio, you get the perfect mix of Brooklyn-style pizza and Italian cuisine. Each pizza is made to order, with no predetermined recipes to choose from on the menu.

Don’t want pizza? Spring for their Stromboli Calzone! I also never leave without an order of Bacon-Cheddar Bambini!

Tartini Pizzeria

6321 S Orange Ave #101, Pine Castle, FL 32809
Phone: (407) 704-8011
Visit Website

Located a few blocks away from Lake Conway is Tartini Pizzeria, another must-have pizza option to enjoy while in Orlando. Like others on the list, Tartini’s cooks their pies on a wood-fired stone, giving it the crisp texture everyone knows and loves.

While you can order things other than pizza, like pasta, salad, and other signature dishes, it is wise to include pizza within your order.

Ordering the Tartini pizza gives you mozzarella, genoa salami, pepperoni, soppressata salami, and Italian sausage with Pomodoro sauce underneath. The flavors are phenomenal, and every slice will be gone in minutes!

Antonella’s Pizzeria

360 W Fairbanks Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789
Phone: (407) 636-5333
Visit Website

Down the road from Barker Family Stadium in Winter Park is Antonella’s Pizzeria. Located in a small town just outside of Orlando, Antonella’s is worth the drive (or delivery fee!) to get. With their hand-spun dough, this family-owned and operated establishment will be your new pizza go-to spot!

When ordering, make sure you try out Antonella’s Pie. With pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, mozzarella, and tomato sauce, you have all the traditional ingredients with a bit of kick of flavor added in for good measure.

Round out the experience with cannoli, and your stomach will leave happy!

Francesco’s Ristorante & Pizzeria

400 S Orlando Ave #104, Maitland, FL 32751
Phone: (407) 960-5533

Just a few blocks from Lake Nina is Francesco’s Ristorante & Pizzeria.

Located off of the busy Orlando Avenue, Francesco’s is in an excellent spot for those out enjoying the area and what Orlando has to offer. The restaurant provides an optimal meeting place for big groups to dine together as well.

As a boutique scratch kitchen, you will find fully authentic ingredients and dishes when enjoying a meal at Francesco’s. The Italiano, the Carne Pazza, and the Calabrese are all top-rated menu items.

The restaurant also has a bar, and your server can recommend great wine pairing options for your meal.

Tornatore’s Cafe and Pizzeria

3818 Edgewater Dr, Orlando, FL 32804
Phone: (407) 292-2248
Visit Website

In between Little Lake Fairview and the Dubsdread Golf Course is Tornatore’s Cafe and Pizzeria.

You may remember this restaurant from an episode of Restaurant Impossible where Chef Robert Irvine gave the eatery a complete makeover! Now, with scratch-made ingredients, the restaurant is on top-rated lists!

One of the pizzas you won’t want to miss out on is Maria’s pie, which comes with Calabrian hot peppers and artichokes. Another top choice is Skinny’s Pie with chicken and pesto.

All in all, you can’t go wrong with any of the menu options – everyone in your group will leave the restaurant with a full and happy belly!

NYPD Pizza

9900 Universal Blvd #100, Orlando, FL 32819
Phone: (407) 992-8990
Visit Website

While it may seem weird to have NYPD Pizza in Orlando, Florida, any reservations you have will vanish once you take your first bite.

Having been a New York favorite for over 25 years, NYPD Pizza now has a location on the corner of Universal Boulevard and Destination Parkway. It serves up delicious pies for many locals and tourists alike.

You can buy NYPD pizza by the slice or as an entire pie. The portions are 30% bigger than their competition! When visiting the restaurant, consider getting a slice of the Madison Square Garden Pie or even the Mariano Pie!

Rome’s Flavours

124 E Morse Blvd, Winter Park, FL 32789
Phone: (407) 951-8039
Visit Website

Going back to Winter Park, right next to the Winter Park bus station, is Rome’s Flavours. Opened by Italian immigrants in 2013, the restaurant initially started as a gelato shop, and then the owners began integrating their traditional Italian recipes.

My favorite menu item in terms of Rome’s Flavours pizza offerings is the Colosseo. The hot salami brings a particular kick to the pie and delivers an experience like no other. The Rome’s Flavours pie is a solid option for those not into spicy food!

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza

8031 Turkey Lake Rd Ste 300, Sand Lake, FL 32819
Phone: (407) 363-9466
Visit Website

Located a bit outside of Orlando, in Sand Lake, is Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. While wood-fired pizza is a common sight, it isn’t often that we get the opportunity to experience coal-fired. Therefore, dining at Anthony’s provides a unique opportunity, as well as fantastic food!

While you can create your own pizza, Anthony’s also has several recipes that you can choose from on their menu.

My personal favorite, which I get every time I visit, is the Meatballs and Ricotta. With clumps of cheese and sauce and the addition of the meatballs, your mouth will be watering as soon as the pan arrives at your table!

Via Napoli

1510 Avenue of the Stars, Orlando, FL 32830
Phone: (407) 939-5277
Visit Website

The last pizza option on the list may be more challenging to access than the others but should still be visited if you’re in the area!

The area in question is Epcot Center within the Disney World chain of amusement parks, and visiting Via Napoli will require not only an admission ticket but also a restaurant reservation.

However, if you do find yourself in Epcot Center with a reservation to Via Napoli, be sure to check out the Piccante Pizza (if you like spicy) or the Prosciutto e Melone Pizza if you enjoy white pizza. Because it’s Disney, make sure to save room for dessert!

Final Thoughts

Pizza is a universally accepted meal choice throughout the world. It’s an entree that both children and adults can agree on when deciding where to go to eat. While many don’t correlate Orlando with top-rated pizza, they are wrong! Orlando has many options that will fit a variety of taste buds and budgets!
